A Clockwork Orange/Emil and the Detectives

A Clockwork Orange is a story that deals with many dark topics such as hooliganism, brainwashing and lawlessness in a dystopian society. The designs I used are meant to symbolise the main protagonist's mind being forcibly tinkered with against his will, exposing the "Cogs" of his inner psyche.

Emil and the Detectives is a children's story involving a young child being out-smarted by an unknown assailant and then meeting up with a group of children who intend to expose him as a criminal. Since this is an old story, I felt I should use shapes similar to a 60's children's movie, specifically the pale colours and the angular silhouettes for characters.

Doctor Who

These posters were designed using the classic art style called Art Deco. This art style is a favourite of mine because of the bold colours within the designs and their use of angular shapes. I also like the sheer versatility of it which means you could use it for anything such as buildings, faces and mountains which is perfect for a long-running series with so much content like Doctor Who.
